CLL Objectives
In implementing its adult education and lifelong learning training programmes, Centre for Lifelong Learning is guided by the following objectives;
To assess community learning needs, develop and deliver the services to the target group.
To champion continuing and lifelong learning/education at both national and international levels and encourage academic departments within Makerere University and external organizations to promote and contribute towards the provision of continuing and lifelong learning/education to all.
To act as a focal point for external links and networks with local, regional and national organizations with considerable interest in promoting chances for continuing and lifelong learning/education.
To provide support in curriculum design and delivery of lifelong learning courses to promote active citizenship.
To engage in research and consultancy interventions which directly inform and strengthen the practices of continuing and lifelong learning/education in Uganda and beyond by sharing the findings though publications and in conferences.
To provide capacity building consultancy services to the communities, students, Civil Society Organizations CSOs), Faith- Based Organizations (FBOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Local Authorities in Uganda and across the region for influencing policy making and implementation
